| I arrived January 19, 1947. My parents named me Evelyn Victoria Lynn. I am not sure where the Victoria came from, but Evelyn was my father's mother's name and my mother's sister's name. I was never called Evelyn...and Victoria was only used when someone was upset with me. I was always called "Vicki". The picture in the center was taken in front of our little house in Manhattan Beach, California. | |||||||
| The letter below was written to my father, David Lynn V and is from my Great Uncle, David Lynn IV, Architect of the Capitol. It is typed on his official letterhead and is one of my most valued treasures. | |||||||
| I like to think that if my parents had lived to see me marry, have children, a grandchild and could have witnessed my adventures, failures and triumphs, that I would have proven the "source of joy" my uncle wished for them in his letter. At least I am sure they all would have found great joy in the Judge David Lynn Website. | |||||||

| Recently, my daughter Rowen (left) and I (right) were accepted as members in the Judge Lynn Chapter of the DAR in Washington, DC. Rowan and I are the only living descendents of Judge David Lynn in this Chapter named for our ancestor. |
